Wasr 10/63 Serial Number Location

I had an earlier thread about a stolen rifle of mine being recovered a few months back. Lately I've been doing a lot of searching trying to find some info on it in general.

Jul 23, 2008 Well, I picked up a 'NEW' WASR-10 at my little, old local shop last Saturday and the serial number on the gun AND paperwork is. What are Wasr 10/63 AK 's worth now days? Location: Lafayette, Tennessee. A current production WASR will have a year at the end of the serial number.

I've seen a few things but I'm still left with a few questions and would appreciate any info you guys may have. What I have is a Romanian Ak imported by Century arms that I bought back in the spring of 2008.

I think it may have been imported in 2001 since that number is tacked onto the end of the serial number but that may be just a guess. The markings are electro-pencil or what have you.

Its marked made by CN ROMARM SA/ CUGIR in Romania. There aren't any arsenal markings on the receiver but the majority of the parts match.

There isn't a slant cut brake on the muzzle. It has some plain looking device attached and spot welded on the bottom of it. The front sight might be canted but its not canted much and when I shot it, it didn't need any windage adjustments and shoots pretty straight. City Of Boston Fellowship Program on this page.

Haven't shot it past 100yds yet though. I installed a tapco trigger myself on it. There is a little side to side play with the mag inserted but it doesnt seem excessive to me. Also from what I can tell the piston is pinned instead of welded to the bolt carrier.

I think that pretty much covers all I know about the rifle. I'm mostly curious to know what people may know as far as the barrels that were put on these kits, the receivers, the factories theyre made in, pretty much anything. I know CAI doesn't have a great reputation from this time frame. I also know that the wasr rifles are the low end of the spectrum for aks. Installer Code For Brinks Alarm System.

But it's the only ak I have and I was lucky to get this back after it was stolen. Basically they are romanian rifles that are usually imported as single stack mag rifles. Patch Fr Madden Nfl 08 Pc Rosters. Century takes the mag well and opens them up and then sells them.

The rifle was built in the Cugir(Cougar) plant in Romania. It should NOT be built from a kit but rather assembled from the factory in Romania. They also feature a Romanian hammer forged chrome lined barrel. All of the AK rifles have pinned gas pistons.

That's the way they come and they are supposed to wiggle back and forth. All in all they are a good AK. Nothing fancy but they perform just like every other AK. To put lead down range. I didn't see SAR-1 just SA. Im sure it will shoot fine but I was just interested in learning more about it.

I know there are a lot of people on here that have a lot of information about different guns. I'm going to find some one with a dremel to take the barrel nut off.

I haven't bought one myself because I feel like I just don't have enough need for one, but we'll see. I'm kind of hoping it has a chrome lined barrel. Of course I plan on properly caring for it but I like things that are a little more robust.
