Tech Points: 0 From: Sweden Posted:3/21/2008 7:39:00 PM # 1 Hi, it seems there's some serious issue with the Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet device because my laptop(Asus G2Sg Notebook) won't boot properly with it enabled, it worked fine for the first 2 days after i got it home then it would not boot unless in safe mode Without networking abilities enabled (if u tried Normal or with Networking it just comes to the windows loading screen then it just stand there barely moving at all or freezing up alltogether). Well i've got the same problem as you, and its really annoying me, because I thought that everything would be okay in a such expensive notebook, but as always there has to be a such a little mistake, that destroys everything! I tried a lot of drivers, for example 2.4.7.10; 2.4.7.11; and some of the older drivers. It seemed, that the newer ones were a bit faster, but with all of them there was this annoying problem of extremely slow booting!
